"The Unsettlement of my Soul"

As I look upon the world of today
Witnessing the emptiness of misguided souls
The chase after things that can't last, won't last forever
My soul unsettled

Darkness is the enemy making deep roots
No penetration of light, no illumination to beheld
Entrapment being the common path taken
My soul unsettled

As the wolves devour the spirits of what was once true humanity
So many of those blinded by lust, succumbing to a false reality
Will they ever know, can they overcome, will they ever see?
My soul unsettled

No longer walking in truth but overtaken by the lies
The acceptance of what is, without the conception of what will be
Perversion of the philosophy of the "Live in the Now"
My soul unsettled

There approaches a truth of a greater power
A Luminescence greater than that of the sun
Revelation that this time is temporal and true living has not yet begun 
Only then will my soul be settled

In a Time
Refreshed with goodness in the hearts of mankind
When things were right with the world

In a Time
Eyes affixed on the Glory Of God
Pews over capacitated  with Praise and Worship

In a Time 
Laughter of the children filled the streets
Kickball & Freeze-tag until the street lights signaled the end of a fun day had

In a Time
Dinner around the table a reflection of true family bonding
Picture perfect memories etched into our minds for a lifetime 

In a Time
Sex was not a way to a relationship
But the reward given after the recognition of love by two souls intertwined 

In a Time 
Pressures of life were at a minimal
Happiness experienced in the smallest of things

In this Time
Hardships now being faced
Money a necessity for survival

In this Time
Innocence of the children being swallowed by the world
Good being ruled by evil

In this time, no longer that time
A moment now lodged in history
Never a return of what was 
Because what was is no longer this time

"The real truth about Love"

I recently watched a movie and something said in the movie really stuck out to me.  "Real and True Love will Never come back to you Void".  All I can say is "Wow", what a powerful statement.  Many of us run around thinking we are in love or with the person of our dreams and in reality, it doesnt even last but a moment in time.  I am very guilty of this one thing.  I wish I would've heard this statement many years ago.  It may have kept me from many failed relationships.  This statement simply means, that when we truly love someone, if they truly love us back it will show.  You will never be in a position to question if that person truly loves you, nor will you doubt that this person shows you love through their actions.  Many of us will hear the words and think that is enough.  Well I am here to tell you, it is not enough.  If someone says they love you, their words will be followed by actions.  When love is released from the mouth and not followed by actions, then it is not love.  Many of us are just excited that someone says they love us.  In my experience over the years I am learning that people can just say the words and the words are only words used to pacify.  Maybe they want something from you or enjoy sexual relations from you, so they will say that they love you ,as a way to pacify.  Through many lost relationships over the years, I have finally found out the real truth about "Love".  Love will never come back to you void.  It is just that simple and plain. Remember this very statement the next time someone tells you that they love you.  It will save you from a life of broken, unfounded relationships.  Remember love is a verb, an action word.

Pieces scattered about like a puzzle
Yet a formation is taking shape
These are the unseen things that are to come

Strength that is unbounded
Endurance non-shattering
This is who I am

A life filled with happiness, joy and Christ as my guide
Accepting the past and embracing the future
This is the direction in which I am heading

Full of Love and Compassion
With the will to overcome "ALL" things

"A love determined by Fate"

 I want a life that is free from heartbreak
I want a relationship that is more give than take
I need someone who can be themselves without the need to be fake
I yearn for the one who will be my lifelong mate
I am tired of men turning my love into hate
I give too much of myself and their lies the mistake
I am waiting for the one sent from God to seal my fate
I watch my life passing me by, yet I know I must keep the Faith
I have grown very weary during this very long wait
I  know God has chosen one for me, to be revealed on that appointed day
I long for the day I will be able to see his face
When two souls collide to make one, it is a love that can Never be erased
