"My Worth"

A refreshing vision, when I first layed eyes on you
Heart fluttering like the wings of butterfly in constant motion
Thoughts filling the heart, as if my soul was complete
Laying in your arms became my security blanket


Time has changed you and made the vision so much clearer
Looking into your eyes now, all I see is deceit
The eyes of hidden secrecy becoming black holes to the soul
Words slicing, like my heart was lying on a cutting board


My eyes now see what you are no longer
The fluttering of the heart has ceased completely
The separation of two souls never meant to intertwine
Trust is lost, memories are now tainted


Time to let go of what once was and focus on what is
Grasping on to the last ounce of integrity to turn away evil at it's fullest
My eyes now turned to "The Most High"
To help me drown out the pain and sorrow of the soul screaming out in anguish


I will see the light again
I will regain my identity once more
I will break the curse that runs for generations
I will find my completion


Like a flower in bloom, waiting for the changes of the season
Shinny like a new diamond found amongst a pile of soot
I await that coal miner in search of a precious jewel
My worth being that of which money can not buy


Pain last but a short time, but  my dream will never die
I know my worth and you show up with pennies
I am a gift to be cherished and apprecitated to no end
What is now your lost will now be someone else's gain
