"Fool for Love"

I turn on the tv to see couples in love
Never making the commitment that seeks approval of the one above

Love was once my dream, or so it would seem
Now it holds no validity it is just a big ole ugly scheme

Waking, sleeping and living for that feeling
Wanting what I wanted, it seems no one is willing

I see things differently, I finally see things clear
True love and commitment is many folks greatest fear

Walking away and letting it go hurts to my core
I am completely enlightened to what love is no more

It is just a word said to pacify those moments
Not really ever knowing what love is and all of it's components

Love is an action word, meant to be shown not said
When it is in it's truest form, your mind, soul and spirit will get fed

I'm not saying it doesn't exist or that many don't share in it
I am only saying love to me has become confused and filled with a bunch of bullshit

Something I once wanted more than I wanted life
Has now been retired in me because it has drained me of all my mite

Good luck to those who actually find love that is true
Just make sure your not being another's fool because that ain't even cool
